How to Achieve Amazing Colors with Manic Panic Hair Dyes
Manic Panic is safe for your hair, giving you the freedom to get creative. To create a pastel shade, leave the dye on your hair for a short time, or mix it with Manic Panic Virgin Snow. If you want a vibrant color, you should saturate your hair, cover it in a processing cap, and leave it on as long as possible. You can also mix two or more colors together to create an original look that everyone will be sure to notice.
Manic Panic Bleaching Kit: Choose Between 30 and 40 Volume Bleach
If you have black or dark brown hair, you will need to bleach before using Manic Panic. We carry the Manic Panic Bleaching Kit in both 30 and 40 Volume, giving you options for better control over the bleaching process.
The higher the volume, the more powerful the bleach. More powerful bleach means stronger and faster lifting abilities, but also more damage. 40 Volume Bleach lifts very quickly, making it a better option for bleaching a chunk of hair. If you want to bleach your whole head, your best bet is to use 30 Volume bleach. Most people with dark brown or black hair have to bleach at least twice to get hair light enough for Manic Panic’s pastel or candy-colored shades. However, if you’re going for a more subtle effect, a single bleach is usually enough to create rich, deep highlights.
Here are a few tips on bleaching:
Don’t leave the bleach on too long! You can’t attempt to go from black to platinum blonde in one go. It won’t work, and it will seriously damage your hair.
Always deep condition after bleaching, and wait at least a week to bleach again. You may have to walk around with orange hair for a while, but it’s worth it to protect your hair.
